To expedite the arrest of the absconding councillor, Hanumangarh Superintendent of Police B Aditya has issued a cash reward of 100 rupees for information leading to his apprehension. With his criminal record detailing more than six separate cases, district police decided to formally open his history sheet to maintain permanent monitoring. Enforcement squads are actively carrying out raids across several locations to secure his arrest.
Allegations Involving Removal of Civic Official from Police Custody
A major case pending against Sumit Rinwa in the Town police station jurisdiction stems from an incident linked to an ongoing investigation into irregularities in Hanumangarh Municipal Council files. Town police had been scrutinizing council records and summoned accounts officer Malchand, along with several other employees, to the police station for official questioning. During the inquiry, Malchand reported sudden health complications. Following this, Sumit Rinwa arrived at the station with his associate Amit Maheshwari and several others, subsequently taking Malchand away from the premises.
