The Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up its political offensive against the Congress party across Rajasthan by taking its protests directly to the public avenues. As part of a statewide campaign titled 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy', the party formally inaugurated its foot march demonstration on Friday from the iconic Seven Wonder Park in Kota. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma alongside BJP State President Madan Rathore arrived in the coaching hub to address a gathering of party workers and launch a frontal attack against the opposition. The political outreach kicked off in Kota is scheduled to expand rapidly, with a massive demonstration lined up in Alwar on Saturday.
Chief Minister Targets Ashok Gehlot and Rahul Gandhi in Kota
Addressing the gathering at Seven Wonder Park, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma directed sharp political criticism toward former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. Responding to attacks against the current dispensation, the Chief Minister remarked that those questioning the BJP ran an administration under Ashok Gehlot where four full months were spent inside hotels. Shifting focus toward Rahul Gandhi, Sharma stated that the Congress leader spends less time inside the country and more time traveling abroad. The Chief Minister questioned the specific purpose behind these foreign journeys and asked what governance schemes or ideas he carries on such trips.
Accusations Over Foreign Visits and National Institutions
Elaborating on the foreign travels of the opposition leadership, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma stated that official delegations travel abroad to secure developmental initiatives and investments, whereas Rahul Gandhi travels abroad to malign the ruling government, which ultimately tarnishes the international reputation of India. Going further, Sharma alleged that the Congress party has not spared constitutional and national establishments from political rhetoric. He accused the opposition of attacking key domestic institutions and attempting to bring disrepute to the Indian armed forces as well.
Foot March Concludes at Kota Flyover Before Departure
According to the official schedule, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was slated to arrive in Kota at 4 PM on Friday, but reached the venue slightly behind schedule. He arrived at the gathering around 5 PM, delivered his public address, and immediately took part in the planned foot march alongside senior state leaders. The procession proceeded from Seven Wonder Park and moved through the designated city route up to the Nag-Nagin Temple mini flyover. Upon concluding the march at the flyover point, the Chief Minister boarded his convoy vehicle and headed directly toward the local airport to depart.
Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia and Bhupender Yadav to Lead in Alwar
Building on the momentum generated in Kota, the BJP is gearing up to stage the 'Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy' march in Alwar on Saturday. The district unit has finalised extensive logistical preparations following directives issued by the party's central leadership, with public representatives, district functionaries, and grassroots cadres mobilising in large numbers. Participants will assemble at Riwaz Resort at 2:30 PM before initiating the street procession.
The Alwar march will feature high-profile central and state leadership. Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia will lead the march along with local Alwar MP and Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav. They will be accompanied on foot by Rajasthan Minister of Forest and Environment Sanjay Sharma and BJP District President Ashok Gupta. The demonstration will proceed through the city until it reaches the Shahid Smarak memorial, where the leaders and workers will pay floral tributes to martyred soldiers before concluding the event.
