His name is registered on the voter list of Ward Number 12, which prevented him from voting for himself in Ward Number 13. Kailashchand explained that his family resides in Ward Number 12, where they hold a total of 12 votes. However, because the party leadership decided to field him as a candidate from Ward Number 13, he had to contest there without being able to cast his own ballot. According to the official statistics released by the State Election Commission, the Congress candidate, Hina Khanam, achieved a resounding victory in Ward Number 13 by securing 376 votes. An independent candidate, Rashid Khan, stood second with 195 votes, while Kailashchand was left at the bottom of the table with his single vote.
