A married couple was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances inside a residential room, with 28-year-old Kausar lying lifeless on a bed while her 34-year-old husband, Abdul Rahim, was found hanging from the ceiling. Preliminary observations strongly suggest a grim sequence of events where the wife was killed before the husband took his own life. How the Case Came to Light
The grim discovery came to the surface at approximately 8:30 am on Wednesday when the wife of Abdul Rahim's younger brother went to the couple's room to wake them up so she could get the children ready for school. Upon knocking repeatedly, she received no response from inside the locked room. Noticing a red liquid-like substance seeping from beneath the door, she grew deeply alarmed and gave the door a hard push, causing it to swing open. The sight inside left her horrified as Abdul Rahim was hanging from the ceiling and Kausar lay motionless on the bed. Overwhelmed by panic, she rushed to inform other family members, who promptly notified local authorities. News of the incident spread rapidly, drawing a large crowd of anxious onlookers to the scene.
FSL and MOB Teams Gather Evidence
Responding swiftly to the alert, the Bissau police station team arrived at the location, inspected the crime scene, and initiated a thorough inquiry. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, forensic science laboratory and mobile observation units were summoned to meticulously collect crucial evidence. Initial inspections revealed that Kausar's hands and feet were bound with rope, and distinct injury marks were visible on her neck. Additionally, certain medications were recovered from the room, and their specific nature and usage will be verified through subsequent laboratory analysis. According to available details, Abdul Rahim was married to Kausar, a resident of Fatehpur, approximately 15 years ago.
