A large national motorcycle rally aimed at spreading awareness against the perils of substance abuse and promoting national integration reached the Amer area of Jaipur on Wednesday evening. Entering Rajasthan through the Kotputli-Behror route, the motorcycle convoy was accorded a warm reception at the Amer Fort complex by the local police administration. Amidst the rhythmic tunes of the Rajasthan Police Band, the participating security personnel were welcomed with traditional tilak application and showering of rose petals. DIG Shweta Dhankhar reached the Amer Fort to welcome the security personnel involved in the rally and boosted their morale.
This special journey is being conducted under the banner of the fight against drugs. Around 250 riders, comprising personnel from various central armed security forces as well as state police departments, are participating in this motorcycle expedition with immense enthusiasm. This nationwide event has been organized as part of the National Unity Day parade slated to take place at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat on October 31, marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The primary objective of this entire expedition is to educate youth and ordinary citizens about the hazards of narcotics while strengthening the spirit of mutual harmony and national unity.
Next Leg of Journey from Jaipur Toward Ajmer
Comprehensive administrative and security arrangements have been finalized for the next phase of this journey in the state capital of Jaipur. According to the official schedule, on Thursday, October 22, at precisely 10 am, Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Rajiv Kumar Sharma will flag off the motorcycle convoy from the Albert Hall and Ramniwas Bagh premises for its onward journey. From here, the convoy will proceed toward Ajmer district. To prevent any inconvenience during transit through the city, the Jaipur traffic police have prepared a detailed route chart, ensuring that the riders accompanied by pilot vehicles reach Albert Hall at the designated time and navigate smoothly through the city.
Participation of Major Security Forces from Across the Country
Personnel representing several prestigious security agencies of the nation are taking part in this national-level bike rally. The contingent includes riders from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Railway Protection Force (RPF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Security Guard (NSG), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Police personnel from various states have also joined this massive campaign. In total, a group of nearly 250 riders is traversing the country carrying the dual message of awareness against drug addiction and national solidarity. This expedition is not merely a transit program from one place to another; rather, special public awareness events are being organized in various cities along the route. During these interactions, direct communication is established with school and college students as well as local citizens to inspire youth to stay away from addictions.
Convoy to Pass Through These Major Cities of Rajasthan
The journey of this motorcycle rally within Rajasthan commenced through the Kotputli-Behror district, from where the riders headed toward Jaipur. As per the finalized schedule, the convoy will depart from Jaipur for Ajmer on October 22. Subsequently, on October 23, the team will travel to the historic city of Udaipur via Chittorgarh. The following day, on October 24, the expedition will resume from Udaipur and proceed toward Gandhinagar. Through this designated route, the message of a drug-free society is being propagated to people across multiple towns and cities in Rajasthan. Special awareness programs are also being organized at venues where the rally is welcomed and flagged off.
Extensive Dialogue with Students and Citizens
At every location where the convoy halts or stays for the night, specialized discussion sessions will be organized focusing on the adverse impacts of substance abuse. School and college students alongside members of the general public will actively participate in these interactions. Additionally, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), senior officials from the Narcotics Control Bureau, National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers, and students are being integrated into these programs. The core objective of these dialogue sessions is to make youth understand how narcotics can severely ruin their personal lives, families, and future prospects. The foundational message of this entire campaign is that keeping away from drugs is the only way to progress toward a healthy society and a robust nation.
