True determination and hard work can turn any adverse situation into an opportunity for success. A shining example of this resilience is 45-year-old Deusraj Yadav from Sultanpur, whose inspiring journey shows that one can always bounce back from setbacks. Having completed his education up to high school, he could not afford further studies due to financial constraints, which pushed him to leave his hometown and move to Delhi in search of livelihood. After spending 15 years working in the national capital, he eventually returned to his native place and has spent the last five years running a successful samosa business.
Overcoming Job Loss During the COVID Pandemic
Reflecting on his journey, Deusraj Yadav shared that after passing his high school exams, his family's poor financial condition forced him to leave his district and migrate to Delhi for work. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020, he lost his job and suddenly found himself unemployed. Left with very little savings and a disheartened mind, he still retained the inner confidence to stand back on his own feet. Instead of looking for another distant job, he made the firm decision to stay back in his village and start an independent business venture of his own.
Building a Popular Samosa Stall at Kacha Bhetaura Crossing
Deusraj established his samosa shop at the Kacha Bhetaura crossing in Sultanpur, where he has been frying and selling snacks for the past 5 years. Thanks to the exceptional taste of his samosas, customers do not just come from neighboring villages but also travel all the way from Sultanpur city specifically to taste them. While his samosas are not oversized, their distinct flavor draws food lovers from far and wide. Anyone wanting to try these popular snacks must travel approximately 22 kilometers from Sultanpur city to reach Kacha Bhetaura.
Strong Daily Earnings and Business Growth
The samosa venture has turned out to be remarkably lucrative for him. He sells over 300 samosas every single day, bringing in a daily income ranging between 2000 and 3000 rupees. This steady revenue stream allows him to continuously strengthen and expand his enterprise. Although he began this culinary venture a few years ago, his delicious samosas have now gained widespread fame throughout the surrounding region.
