The wait for one of the year's most talked-about mid-range phones is finally over. On Tuesday, July 7, Nothing brought its new Nothing Phone 4b to India, streaming the launch live on YouTube at 3:30 pm IST while lakhs of smartphone enthusiasts tuned in. Slotted below the Phone 4a in the brand's line-up, the Phone 4b is built to win over a wider set of buyers by pairing genuinely useful features with an affordable tag. The company also used the stage to unveil a limited Nothing Phone 4b RCB edition.
Ahead of the Phone 4b reveal, the same event saw Nothing take the wraps off its new Nothing Ear 3 earbuds. With all the announcements done, the Phone 4b will go on sale from July 17.
Price and the competition
Nothing Phone 4b has been priced at Rs 34,999 in India, a figure confirmed on stage at the launch. That places it squarely in the country's crowded mid-range segment, where the fight for buyers is fierce. The phone comes in two configurations, with the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model at Rs 34,999 and the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant at Rs 38,999. Display and design
The Nothing Phone 4b features a 6.77-inch Super AMOLED display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits of peak brightness, which should keep the screen readable even under harsh sunlight. It is protected by Dragontail Pro Glass and carries an 8-bit colour depth along with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Buyers get three colour choices, white, black and blue.
Performance and software
Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with support for on-device AI features. On the software side, the Phone 4b runs Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16 out of the box. Nothing's software has typically leaned toward a cleaner interface, distinctive visual elements and fewer unnecessary extras, setting it apart from some of the heavily customised Android skins on rival phones.
Camera setup
For photography, the Phone 4b packs a 50 MP main camera with OIS on the back, helping keep stills and videos steady, paired with an 8 MP ultrawide camera. There is a front camera on board too for selfies and video calls.

This special edition will be available exclusively at the Nothing Bengaluru Store from 4 pm IST on July 7. On the whole, the Nothing Phone 4b is the basic version of the series 4 smartphones, tuned to draw mid-range shoppers with an accessible price.
