With major autumn celebrations drawing near, passenger turnout across north and western rail routes has begun witnessing an intense surge. To accommodate the massive movement of families traveling back to their hometowns for Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath, Indian Railways has expanded its festival service roster. As part of this festive transit rollout, a dedicated express route linking western Rajasthan directly with eastern Uttar Pradesh has been unveiled, scheduled to operate a total of 18 trips across both directions to relieve crushing waitlists on regular trains.
Journey Schedule and Route Timings
Under the planned timetable, train number 04829 begins its run out of Jodhpur Junction at 16:15 hours in the evening. It arrives at Delhi Junction early the following morning at 04:30 hours, halts briefly before departing at 04:45 hours, and reaches its terminal destination of Gorakhpur Junction the same night at 20:30 hours.
For the return leg, train number 04830 pulls out of Gorakhpur Junction late at night at 23:25 hours. Traversing through northern plains, it pulls into Delhi Junction at 14:00 hours the next afternoon, eventually completing its itinerary at Jodhpur Junction at 05:30 hours on the third morning.

The specialized service has been scheduled to bridge the core holiday window stretching through October and November. Outbound runs under service number 04829 from Jodhpur are scheduled on every Thursday between 1 October 2026 and 26 November 2026. Conversely, inbound trips designated under service number 04830 from Gorakhpur will run every Friday from 2 October 2026 through 27 November 2026.
