Uttar Pradesh minority welfare minister Danish Azad Ansari has sparked a fresh political debate by making sharp remarks on Pakistan and various domestic issues. Responding to controversial statements made by former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah regarding Pakistan and the alleged appearance of objectionable slogans at Delhi's Jamia College, the minister stated that every citizen of the country must view Pakistan as India's enemy. He strongly opposed showing any form of sympathy towards Pakistan and demanded strict action against individuals involved in activities against the nation.
Strong objection to Farooq Abdullah's remarks in Ballia
While speaking to media persons in Ballia, Danish Azad Ansari criticized the statement made by Farooq Abdullah in which Pakistan was reportedly described as a protector of Kashmiris. The minister stated that Pakistan has consistently attempted to hatch conspiracies against India and weaken the nation. Standing up in its favor or advocating for it under such circumstances is entirely wrong. He emphasized that every citizen of India must keep the country's unity and integrity above everything else. National interests should be prioritized instead of showing sympathy towards Pakistan, and he expressed strong disagreement with and condemnation of Farooq Abdullah's remarks.
Demand for a probe into Jamia College slogans
The minister also shared his views regarding the alleged objectionable slogans written at Delhi's Jamia College. He stated that maintaining the nation's unity and integrity is the responsibility of every citizen and student. Political ideologies may differ, but the country belongs to everyone, and its dignity must be respected.
Danish Azad Ansari demanded that a thorough investigation should be conducted into the incidents at Jamia College. It must also be ascertained who was behind writing the objectionable slogans and who played a role in promoting them. He asserted that individuals found guilty during the inquiry should be identified and subjected to strict legal action. The minister further added that whenever anti-national activities occur anywhere in the country, the concerned agencies must take action according to the law, emphasizing that the role of those encouraging such incidents should also be probed.
Demand for an apology from Mallikarjun Kharge over remarks on PM Modi's father
During his interaction, the minister also addressed Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's remarks concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's father. Danish Azad Ansari demanded that Kharge should issue an apology to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the comments made regarding the Prime Minister's father warranted an apology from the Congress president.
