A major incident has been reported from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, located near the national capital, where a powerful explosion ripped through the Vasundhara police outpost late Friday night. The impact of the blast was strong enough to shatter the windows of the police post and damage equipment stored inside. Fortunately, very few police personnel were present inside the facility at the time of the explosion, averting a larger disaster. However, a delivery boy who was present at the scene sustained injuries from flying glass fragments and is currently undergoing medical treatment at a hospital.
High-ranking officials rushed to the location immediately after the incident was reported. Additional CP Raj Karan Nair, along with Indirapuram ACP Suryabali Maurya and a specialized forensic team, arrived at the Vasundhara police outpost to inspect the scene and collect physical evidence.
Forensic Teams and Police Probe the Cause
Law enforcement authorities and forensic experts are currently investigating the exact cause and nature of the explosion. Investigators combed the area for clues to determine what triggered the blast. Initial speculations suggested that fireworks stored inside the outpost might have caused the detonation, but senior police officials have firmly ruled out the possibility of crackers being the source of the incident.
Detailing the situation, Indirapuram ACP Suryabali Maurya stated that the exact trigger behind the explosion will only be confirmed after a thorough investigation is concluded. He noted that at the time of the blast, only one sub-inspector and a delivery boy who had arrived to drop off some items were inside the outpost. The delivery boy suffered injuries after being struck by flying shards of broken glass.
Glass Scattered Across the Floor After the Blast
Visuals and video footage recorded inside the police outpost following the explosion reveal the extent of the damage. The footage shows shattered window frames and broken glass scattered all over the floor, alongside damaged property within the station. Police authorities have emphasized that every possible angle is being examined to ascertain the truth behind the mysterious blast.
