The counseling process for MBBS admissions at the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) in Bilaspur officially begins today for the upcoming academic session. College administration has finalized all operational and logistical preparations to ensure a seamless experience for arriving candidates and their parents. A total of 150 MBBS seats will be filled at the institute during this admission drive. Structured arrangements have been established across all administrative levels to maintain complete transparency and efficiency throughout the counseling schedule.
Quota-Wise Seat Distribution Breakdown
Out of the total 150 MBBS seats available at CIMS Bilaspur, admissions will be processed according to designated quota allocations. The largest proportion, comprising 124 seats, is reserved under the state quota to provide priority access to eligible candidates from Chhattisgarh. Additionally, 22 seats are set aside under the All India Quota for meritorious students applying from across the country. The remaining 4 seats are allocated under the Central Pool quota. This structured distribution ensures orderly admissions in strict alignment with state and national guidelines.
Inspection by Dean and Medical Superintendent
Prior to the launch of counseling activities, the Dean and the Medical Superintendent of CIMS personally inspected the campus premises to review all administrative arrangements. They examined the facilities provided for candidates at the venue, including seating areas, drinking water access, and student helpdesks. The leadership issued clear directions to the designated staff and officers to maintain high operational standards and handle student queries promptly, ensuring that no candidate faces unnecessary hardship or confusion.
Document Verification Protocols and Crowd Control
To ensure a smooth workflow, major emphasis has been placed on the document verification and candidate registration stages. College staff assigned to verification counters have been instructed to conduct thorough credential checks strictly adhering to prescribed regulatory guidelines. Furthermore, organized crowd control mechanisms have been instituted across the campus. Clear signage and information booths have been deployed to direct aspirants efficiently, enabling orderly movement and preventing unnecessary congestion near verification counters.
Transparent Allocation Process and Candidate Guidance
Given the expectation of a high turnout of medical aspirants, CIMS authorities have committed to conducting the entire seat allotment process with utmost fairness and transparency. Admission decisions and seat assignments will follow standard counseling regulations. College officials have advised all prospective students to review the official schedule in advance. Aspirants are also urged to ensure that all necessary original certificates and supporting document sets are fully compiled prior to reporting for counseling to prevent administrative delays.
