Online Acquaintance and the Flight to Florida
Investigating authorities confirmed that Sonia Axelby initially established contact with 53-year-old Dwayne Hall through a fetish website. The two maintained regular digital communication over several months. Forensic examination of Axelby's computer revealed evidence that she had been coping with severe mental health struggles for an extended period. Investigators stated that her online search history indicated attempts to find individuals in the United States willing to engage in extreme scenarios, which eventually led her to Hall.
