A new Bhojpuri devotional feature film titled 'Satto – Devotee of Chhathi Maiya' has commenced filming, centering on the cultural and religious essence of the Chhath festival. The project features Bhojpuri cinema actor Rahul Singh alongside actress Reshma Sheikh in the lead roles. The cast also includes actors Indrasen Yadav and Saheb Lal Dhari in significant roles. Production is currently progressing across multiple locations under the Aurai police station limits in Bhadohi district, Uttar Pradesh, capturing the traditional folk atmosphere associated with the festival.
Lead Performers on the Devotional Project
Actress Reshma Sheikh described the film as a deeply touching project, noting that this is the very first time both she and Rahul Singh are collaborating on a devotional movie dedicated to Chhathi Maiya. Engaging with the spiritual narrative has presented a meaningful artistic journey for the primary cast. Lead actor Rahul Singh remarked that regional cinema has faced a persistent need for robust and reliable platforms spanning the entire lifecycle from early production to distribution, a gap this initiative seeks to address.
Expansion Across Multiple Regional Languages and Upcoming OTT
Actor Indrasen Yadav highlighted that the production team is crafting a sensitive and polished narrative around the revered festival. He noted that the arrival of Neelima Entertainment introduces a supportive infrastructure for the wider regional entertainment sphere. Under this umbrella, feature films and web series across diverse linguistic traditions including Hindi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Awadhi, Chhattisgarhi, and Haryanvi are slated for development and acquisition. Furthermore, plans are in motion to launch a dedicated OTT streaming service to deliver regional content directly to broader digital audiences.

The film's writer and director, Arvind K Dixit, pointed out that independent and regional filmmakers frequently contend with fragmented facilities and complex distribution logistics, having to coordinate across disparate entities. The objective behind this initiative is to deliver end-to-end production support under a single roof, thereby streamlining technical workflows and assisting creators with the practical demands of bringing regional cinema to market.

Alongside the ongoing shooting schedule in Bhadohi, an official launch event for the Neelima Entertainment banner was formally conducted. The enterprise operates under Chairman Dr. Arvind K Dixit, Vice Chairman Rama Dixit, and CEO Satya S Singh. The creative and technical crew steering 'Satto – Devotee of Chhathi Maiya' comprises Creative Director Satya Singh, Co-Producer Vivek Mishra, and Director of Photography Amitabh Chandra. Choreography is directed by Ashok Maiti, while Amit Shukla Bhojpuriya serves as the line producer and Ramchandra Yadav oversees promotions. Participating actors, technical crew members, and guests received commemorative mementos during the launch proceedings.
