A public celebration in Bihar's Purnia district witnessed dramatic scenes when an audience member hurled a slipper at popular Bhojpuri singer and actor Khesari Lal Yadav during his live performance at the Khurda annual festival. The artiste, well known for participating in reality television show Bigg Boss and commanding a massive fan following rivaling stars like Dinesh Lal Yadav and Pawan Singh, was forced to interrupt his musical act following the sudden incident. Purnia Member of Parliament Pappu Yadav, who was attending the gathering, reacted furiously to the misconduct and addressed the unruly crowd from the dais.
Mid-Show Disruption at the Khurda Annual Festival
A huge gathering had assembled in Purnia to witness the festivities of the Khurda annual fair, where Khesari Lal Yadav was delivering an energetic musical set. While the crowd was actively cheering and dancing along to his popular numbers, an unidentified person from the gathering flung footwear directly toward the dais. The unexpected action startled the performer, causing the ongoing track to halt abruptly. The atmosphere within the venue turned tense as security personnel and attendees struggled to comprehend the sudden chaos unfolding in front of the stage.
Khesari Uses Sarcasm to Address the Heckler
Rather than reacting with anger or offensive language, Khesari Lal Yadav took hold of the microphone and addressed the miscreant with biting sarcasm. Maintaining his composure despite the provocation, the Bhojpuri star took a verbal swipe at the perpetrator from the stage. While mocking the behavior, he remarked that he respects individuals who commit errors because the wider world learns lessons from such mistakes. He sarcastically commented that someone capable of doing such a deed would go very far in life, defusing the immediate hostility with ironical humor.
MP Pappu Yadav Demands Action and Warns Reckless Spectators
Witnessing the rowdy behavior, local parliamentarian Pappu Yadav expressed intense displeasure and strongly condemned the attack on the visiting artist. Yadav cautioned the audience that security surveillance was active across the venue, stating that the entire episode had been recorded by closed-circuit cameras. He warned that the culprit responsible for targeting the singer would soon be traced and held accountable. Additionally, the lawmaker took serious exception to reckless spectators who had climbed electricity poles to watch the show. Pappu Yadav ordered them to dismount immediately, making it clear that the event would be shut down on the spot if attendees continued to endanger their lives on the power infrastructure.
Artist Recently Made Headlines Over Personal Life Revelations
Apart from public stage performances, Khesari Lal Yadav has recently been a prominent subject of discussion surrounding his personal relationships. Co-star Kajal Raghwani had earlier spoken openly about her emotional bond with the married actor on Rise and Fall 2, explaining how she fell in love with him. Her comments mirrored earlier discussions during Bhojpuri Bawal, where she publicly admitted that she developed feelings for a married person despite being fully aware of his marital status. Those revelations had kept the popular performer in entertainment headlines prior to the Purnia incident.
