Janshakti Janata Dal national president Tej Pratap Yadav has raised serious alarms regarding his personal safety, formally appealing to both the central government and the Bihar administration for an immediate enhancement of his protective security cover. In a statement posted on social media platform X, he pointed out that his public recognition has witnessed a steep surge following his participation in a reality television project. As a consequence, wherever he travels, massive gatherings form around him, leaving him vulnerable to unruly situations and physical hazards in open public environments.
Crowd Surges Following Television Appearance
Explaining the dramatic shift in daily interactions, he noted that his involvement in the reality show 'Rise and Fall 2' has triggered an overwhelming response among the public. Whenever he arrives at any location, large numbers of people immediately rush to meet him and capture photographs. He highlighted that aggressive crowd clusters routinely surround him from all sides. In such congested environments, maintaining personal protection becomes exceedingly difficult, creating an imminent risk of unforeseen incidents or physical harm.
Vulnerability of Operating with a Lone Security Officer
Detailing the inadequacy of his current arrangements, Tej Pratap Yadav underlined that the state government has currently assigned only a single security personnel to his detail. Facing large and passionate gatherings with just one guard poses a double hazard, jeopardizing not only his own well-being but also that of the deployed personnel. He expressed grave apprehensions that an aggressive mob could easily isolate the lone guard, lead to dangerous physical confrontations, or even trigger critical security lapses such as the snatching of official service weapons.
Repeated Pleas to State and Central Authorities Unanswered
Highlighting administrative inaction, he noted that formal and informal channels had already been exhausted without yielding any enhancement to his safety arrangements. As he wrote on X, he had repeatedly apprised both the central and Bihar state governments verbally about the growing logistical hazards. Furthermore, written letters detailing the risks were formally submitted to the relevant departments. Despite these consecutive submissions, no corrective steps or reinforcement of security staff have been implemented so far.
Accountability Questions Raised Over Potential Mishaps
Questioning the administration's slow response, Tej Pratap Yadav asked who would assume responsibility if an unfortunate development were to harm him or his assigned guard in the coming days. He openly questioned whether authorities were awaiting an untoward disaster before reviewing ground realities. Emphasizing that his request is not an appeal for special privileges or luxury protocol, he insisted that providing fundamental safety for a public figure and deployed personnel remains a primary governmental duty. He urged both administrative tiers to immediately review the ground conditions and sanction adequate protective personnel to prevent any untoward incident.
