Even at the age of 90, her enthusiasm for singing remained as vibrant as ever, leading her to record her last playback track titled "Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chhipi Hai Kahan" for the film "Om Ka Hari". Anshuman Jha, who serves as both an actor and producer for the project, recently shared a touching memory highlighting the iconic artist's extraordinary dedication during the recording process.
A Passion to Re-Record and Innovate
In a recent interview, Anshuman Jha revealed how Asha Bhosle became immensely excited upon watching some of the shot footage of the track. As soon as she viewed the clips, she was filled with joy and remarked that the song had been recorded more than once. While Jha was not present during the initial recording session, he was right there in the studio when the second recording took place. After looking over the footage, Asha Bhosle immediately expressed a strong desire to record the song yet another time, mentioning that fresh musical ideas and interpretations were coming to her mind.
Childlike Enthusiasm for the Craft
This relentless drive to innovate and refine her work at 90 years of age left everyone present in awe. Jha noted that this exact quality is what set Asha Bhosle apart as a legendary figure in the music industry. He recalled that the most memorable aspect of observing her in action was her childlike eagerness while singing. Tribute on Birth Anniversary and Film Release
The song "Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chhipi Hai Kahan" was released on September 8 to mark Asha Bhosle's 93rd birth anniversary. The music video also features authentic behind-the-scenes glimpses captured during the actual studio recording sessions. Directed by Harish Vyas, the feature film "Om Ka Hari" stars Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha, and Ayesha Kapoor in pivotal roles, with its theatrical release set for September 18. Asha Bhosle passed away in Mumbai on April 12 at the age of 92, and her last rites were performed the following day at the Shivaji Park crematorium.
