Conversely, Bantwara 1947, set against the backdrop of the 1947 Indian partition, has struggled to find momentum despite receiving a wide theatrical release across the country, managing a modest collection over its opening six-day run.
Awarapan 2 Box Office Trajectory: 107 Crore Milestone in 6 Days
Awarapan 2, serving as the sequel to the 2007 cult hit Awarapan, opened with strong box office momentum, securing 22 crore on its opening Friday. The film experienced significant growth over its debut weekend, collecting 33.75 crore on Saturday followed by a robust 26 crore on Sunday. Moving into the weekdays, the movie successfully passed its crucial Monday test by bringing in 9.25 crore and maintained its steady pace on Tuesday with 9.75 crore.
Having breached the 100 crore net benchmark in India in just five days, the film witnessed its first noticeable drop on Wednesday, which marked its sixth day in theaters. Collecting 6.75 crore on Wednesday, which was its lowest single-day figure so far, Awarapan 2 brought its cumulative 6-day India net collection to 107.50 crore, while its overall domestic gross collection reached 128.29 crore.
