Sana Saeed, who captured hearts as young Anjali in the iconic movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and later appeared in Student of the Year, has carved out a completely new life away from Indian cinema. She has officially made Los Angeles her permanent home, stepping into filmmaking and production while reflecting on her emotional and personal journey over the years.
From Iconic Roles To Pursuing Education Overseas
After gaining widespread fame playing the screen daughter of Rahul and Tina in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Sana Saeed featured alongside Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in Student of the Year. She also participated in several popular dance reality shows in India. However, despite her established presence in Hindi entertainment, her career trajectory shifted when she decided to move abroad in 2016 to study acting and filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.
Building Beyond Magic Studios In Los Angeles
Although she returned to India after completing her course in 2016, she constantly felt drawn back to the United States. Overcoming the emotional difficulty of leaving behind her family home and close friends in India, she permanently relocated to Los Angeles in 2021. She noted that while the transition was challenging, it helped her grow into a completely new person. In Los Angeles, she married her partner Csaba Wagner. Together, the couple launched a joint production venture named Beyond Magic Studios. Sana shared that her husband had already been based in the US for a long time, and both are deeply excited about creating and producing content together through their studio.
Breaking Silence On A Six-Year Battle With An Eating Disorder
Opening up about her health struggles, Sana Saeed revealed that she quietly suffered from an eating disorder for nearly six years without knowing what her illness was called. Having never heard about eating disorders during her childhood, she struggled to understand or manage the condition on her own. Navigating that difficult period alone contributed to her personal resilience. Today, fully distant from Bollywood, she remains focused on her life, family, and independent creative projects in the US.
