The highly anticipated cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is gearing up to make a significant impact not just domestically but on the global stage as well. Producers are leaving no stone unturned to take this Indian epic to international markets, marking the effort with a grand international trailer launch in Bengaluru on October 15. The event brought together the film's cast and creators, where lead actor Ranbir Kapoor won over the audience by making a heartfelt effort to speak in Kannada.
Opening Speech with Jai Shri Ram
Taking to the stage at the trailer launch event, Ranbir Kapoor began his address by chanting Jai Shri Ram and greeted the gathered crowd with a warm Namaskara Bengaluru. He proceeded to express his gratitude to the audience in Kannada, thanking them for their immense love, affection, and warm reception. Concluding his remarks, he playfully mentioned his co-star Yash, stating that he only managed to learn this much for now but would pick up more Kannada from 'Yash Boss' by his next visit. This endearing gesture drew loud cheers and applause from the packed auditorium.
The Apology That Won Over Fans
During his attempt to converse in the local language, Ranbir also offered a lighthearted apology to the crowd for not being able to speak more fluent Kannada. However, fans were thoroughly charmed by his genuine effort to connect with them in their regional tongue. Social media users flooded platforms with praise, with one noting how sweetly he referred to Yash as 'boss' and another commending his consistent efforts to embrace South Indian languages. Another fan humorously remarked on the irony of Rama calling Ravana the boss, while many others reacted with heart emojis.
