Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh recently appeared in a Reliance documentary, where he spoke candidly about his blockbuster films Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, detailing the immense challenges faced while bringing such a massive project to the silver screen. Following the record-breaking success of this two-part franchise, Ranveer Singh is now gearing up for Pralay, a survival film marking Kalyani Priyadarshan's Bollywood debut.
The Difficult Journey of Making Dhurandhar

He pointed out that the journey was fraught with challenges, but the team kept moving forward with the shared belief that if the film succeeded, they would achieve something unprecedented and grand in cinema.
The Ambani Family Stood By During Lows
Opening up about his professional setbacks, the actor became emotional while discussing how much the backing of the Ambani family meant to him, especially during a period when his theatrical releases were underperforming. Ranveer shared that he received abundant love, backing, and encouragement even when his movies were failing at the box office, cherishing the unwavering support he received throughout his career fluctuations.
Jyoti Deshpande on the Scale and Budget
Jio Studios President Jyoti Deshpande also shed light on the massive scale and financial planning behind Dhurandhar. She revealed that the makers were aware from the very beginning that the movie's budget would exceed initial estimates. Despite this, management decided to move forward and secure the necessary funding to shoot both parts simultaneously, rather than waiting to gauge the box office fate of the first installment. According to Deshpande, this bold decision ultimately paid off as audiences resonated heavily with the sincerity poured into the project.
