Star kid Yashvardhan Ahuja is officially preparing to step into Bollywood with his debut acting venture. The son of actor Govinda and Sunita Ahuja will begin his Hindi cinema career with a horror comedy feature film titled 'Hero Ki Horrorin'. The makers of the film formally confirmed the project on Thursday. Yashvardhan will share screen space with actress Nitanshi Goel, who earned widespread acclaim for her performance in 'Laapataa Ladies'. The project brings together a prominent ensemble cast alongside the debutant lead actors.
Cast Members, Production Team, and Theatrical Release Date
One of the most notable aspects of 'Hero Ki Horrorin' is the inclusion of Sunita Ahuja, who will play Yashvardhan Ahuja's mother on screen, reflecting their real-life relationship. The supporting ensemble features established comedic and dramatic talents, including Jamie Lever, Chunky Panday, Brijendra Kala, and Simrat Kaur Randhawa. Directorial responsibilities for the horror comedy are helmed by Sajid Khan. The movie is produced jointly by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, and Amar Butala. As per the official announcement by the production team, the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 7 January 2027.
Mother-Son Debut and Working Dynamics
Expressing her delight about participating in the feature, Sunita Ahuja shared her satisfaction regarding working alongside her son Yash. She spoke about her professional and personal equation with producer Ekta Kapoor, pointing out that their close bond was the primary reason she previously appeared in a Netflix show. Sunita emphasized that having both a mother and her son make their feature film acting debut together in the same movie is likely an unprecedented event in the history of the film industry.
Family Disputes and Divorce Application Status
While the announcement of Yashvardhan's entry into films brought positive news to fans, personal conflicts within the family have continued to draw attention. Sunita Ahuja had earlier filed a divorce petition following allegations of infidelity against Govinda. However, on Thursday, Sunita formally withdrew the divorce application. She stated that her decision was influenced by claims that Govinda plans to marry his alleged girlfriend, Komal Rani Swarnakar. Tensions had escalated further after Govinda and Komal Rani Swarnakar were spotted together at an airport.
Govinda's Counter Statement and Silver Screen Comeback
Following the airport appearance, Sunita Ahuja voiced strong criticism against Govinda while interacting with the paparazzi. In response, Govinda countered by advising Sunita to exercise control over her language and statements. Amidst these ongoing marital disputes, Govinda is also gearing up for his own return to acting after a break of nearly seven years. He will make his silver screen comeback with the upcoming film 'Roopa', which features Komal Rani Swarnakar as the leading lady opposite him.
