Marking a decade since its inception, Reliance Industries arm Jio Platforms has reached a major milestone following a massive response to its landmark initial public offering. The successful stock exchange debut sparked grand celebrations stretching from the Mumbai residence of Chairman Mukesh अंबानी to the family's ancestral roots in Gujarat. The iconic Antilia building in Mumbai was illuminated with bright lights for the occasion, while rural communities in Gujarat celebrated with large community feasts and local cultural programs.
Festivities Across Chorwad and Jamnagar
In Chorwad, the native village of Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani, residents gathered in large numbers to mark both the ten-year milestone and the historic market listing. Parimal Nathwani, Corporate Affairs Director at Reliance Industries and a Rajya Sabha MP, traveled to the village to personally serve meals to the local residents. He also visited the Jhund Bhavani Mataji temple to offer prayers and toured the ancestral home known as Dhirubhai No Delo. The family has maintained a deep bond with the village over the decades, consistently sharing their major milestones with the local community.
Sharing Success with Local Communities
The celebrations extended beyond the ancestral village to include families living near the Reliance refinery in Jamnagar. A community lunch was organized on Wednesday afternoon for residents of Nani Khavdi, Kanachikari, and Derachikari villages near the refinery complex. Held under the guidance of Corporate Affairs Director Parimal Nathwani and Group President Dhanraj Nathwani, the gatherings saw enthusiastic participation from villagers who praised Jio's market success and expressed their warm regards for the Ambani family.
