Contract electronics manufacturing giant Foxconn, which handles the assembly of flagship smartphones in India, now operates with over 80 percent female employees across its local production lines. In practical terms, more than 80 out of every 100 workers stationed on these assembly lines are women. On a global scale, principal technology firm Apple has also maintained efforts to diversify its operational headcount. By September 27, the company reached an overall global workforce count of approximately 1.66 lakh personnel. Global data indicates that women comprise roughly 35 percent of this worldwide total. In concrete figures, this accounts for nearly 58 thousand female professionals across international offices and operational segments, underlining corporate measures aimed at expanding female representation in the global tech ecosystem.
