The Board of Control for Cricket in India has formally released the fixture list for the 2027 edition of the Women's Premier League. Scheduled to run from January 14 through February 7, 2027, the fifth chapter of the competition will showcase five squads contending for supremacy across 22 fixtures. The tournament structure relies on two host cities, each staged to hold exactly half of the designated fixtures over the three-week window.
Opening Phase Scheduled in Vadodara
Action gets underway on January 14 in Vadodara, featuring an opening clash between title-holders Royal Challengers Bengaluru and former champions Mumbai Indians. Following the recent player bidding event staged in Kochi, squads will test their modified line-ups right from night one. Vadodara will serve as the exclusive base for the first 11 games through January 24, giving all five franchises an early platform to establish momentum on the points table before travel begins.
Mumbai Leg and Knockout Progression
Following the conclusion of fixtures in Gujarat, the campaign shifts to Mumbai for its final 11 encounters. Brabourne Stadium will take over hosting responsibilities from January 26, carrying regular group fixtures up until February 3. Under the competition format, the club finishing atop the league standings secures immediate qualification into the championship contest, placing immense value on regular phase consistency.
Eliminator Clash and Championship Night
Teams finishing in the second and third positions will face each other in the Eliminator on February 5 to determine the remaining finalist. The ultimate showdown will take place under the lights at Brabourne Stadium on Sunday, February 7, where the 2027 winner will be crowned. Every match on the 22-fixture slate is timed for an evening start at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time, setting the stage for Royal Challengers Bengaluru to defend their crown.
