Now, if he plays the next match, he will have doubts in his mind about whether he will be dropped again if he fails to score. You are sending the wrong message and creating doubts in the minds of all players. Suryavanshi has scored runs at every level: Duleep Trophy, T20s, India A, and the IPL. You should encourage him."

Sanju Samson took the field instead of Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the opening match against Afghanistan but failed to make an impact. He managed to score only 10 runs before getting dismissed. Despite Samson's low score, India secured a comfortable victory on the back of aggressive contributions from Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan, who kept the chase well under control.
