A tragic incident has unfolded in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, where 23-year-old newlywed Sanjana Nilesh Shejwal lost her life under suspicious circumstances merely four months after her wedding. Following her sudden death, her maternal relatives leveled grave allegations against her in-laws, accusing them of continuous harassment and deceptive practices surrounding the marriage.
False Government Job Claim Triggered Domestic Conflict
According to Sanjana's relatives, her husband, Nilesh, had falsely represented himself as a government officer before their marriage took place. Relying on that claim, the family had arranged the wedding in good faith. However, following the nuptials, it was revealed that he actually worked for a consultancy firm assisting students with medical studies abroad. Her family alleged that once the truth regarding his employment came to light, her in-laws routinely mocked, taunted, and harassed her at home.
Discovered Unresponsive and Brought Dead to Hospital
The tragedy occurred in the N-13 Wankhedenagar locality situated within the Hudco area of the city. Sanjana had tied the knot with Nilesh Shejwal on June 4. On the morning of October 11, she was found in an unresponsive and suspicious condition inside a room on the upper floor of the residence. She was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital for urgent medical care, where attending doctors pronounced her dead on arrival, sending her loved ones into deep mourning.
Begumpura Police Launch Formal Inquiry
Following the intimation, Begumpura Police Station registered a formal case regarding the incident. Law enforcement officials stated that the precise cause of Sanjana's death will be verified once comprehensive medical and postmortem findings are completed. Meanwhile, the police are actively probing all facets of the case, including the domestic harassment and deceit allegations raised by her grieving relatives.
