A harrowing tragedy originating from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra has shaken the entire state to its core. The grim incident at the rocky terrain of Khavadya Dongar in Jalna claimed the lives of three members from the same household, laying bare the toxic family feuds and underlying tensions that had been festering for years. The sudden and devastating deaths of 19-year-old Kunal, his father Murlidhar, and his mother Sangeeta have highlighted how prolonged domestic discord can ultimately obliterate a family in a matter of moments.
Revelations by the Aunt and Years of Estrangement
The case took a significant turn when Kunal's aunt, who is Murlidhar's sister, broke her silence and exposed the bitterness that had been concealed behind social pretenses for a long time. She alleged that Murlidhar had married by his own choice, but that union resulted in his complete isolation from his parents and siblings. According to her, Sangeeta exerted immense control over Murlidhar, effectively severing his ties with his parental home. Even when Murlidhar visited his sister to deliver a wedding invitation, his wife's refusal to accompany him and his own helplessness were starkly evident.
The Grandfather Remembers and Moments of Remorse
Meanwhile, the heartbroken grandfather shared poignant memories of his son's final visits. He recalled that the son who had stayed away from his elderly parents for years under marital pressure finally returned toward the end of his life, breaking down upon seeing his ailing mother's helpless state. During that visit, Murlidhar quietly washed utensils and cooked a meal with his own hands to feed his parents, almost as if he were trying to make amends for years of emotional distance. However, the youngest victim of this suffocating household environment was their 19-year-old grandson Kunal, whose growing distress set the stage for the ultimate catastrophe.
The Grim Reality of That Fateful Morning
The events of that fateful morning at Khavadya Dongar unfolded in a manner that left the entire community in shock. A mentally distressed Kunal stood dangerously close to the edge of the deep ravine, prompting his father Murlidhar to rush forward in a desperate rescue attempt. In the ensuing struggle, Murlidhar lost his footing and both plunged into the abyss. Unable to bear the horrifying sight of her husband and son vanishing into the gorge, Sangeeta jumped in after them. When the tragic news first reached the elderly grandfather, he was initially misled with a milder story about his grandson sustaining a leg fracture, only to learn the devastating truth when the bodies were brought home.
