Law enforcement authorities in the Dausa district have cracked a complex murder mystery resulting in the apprehension of two suspects allegedly involved in a brutal crime. The case began unfolding when the lifeless body of a young woman was discovered amidst bushes in a secluded hilly terrain near the Mora Mata temple within the jurisdiction of the Mehandipur Balaji police station.
Discovery of the Body at Mora Mata Hills
The grim episode came to light on August 17 at the hills situated in village Brahambad, where the victim, aged around twenty-two years, was found dead wearing a yellow suit and white salwar. The discovery in the desolate area triggered widespread panic throughout the neighborhood. When investigators arrived at the scene, identifying the victim presented an immediate hurdle since no identification documents or mobile phones were recovered near her remains. Severe facial injuries further complicated visual recognition, turning the investigation into a major challenge for the local police force.
Information Broadcast Across Multiple States
To establish the identity of the deceased, authorities launched a widespread information campaign spanning across Dausa along with Jaipur, Alwar, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Deeg, Bharatpur, and Dholpur districts. Photographs of the victim were also dispatched to various districts in Uttar Pradesh and relevant areas of Madhya Pradesh. Police teams pasted these notices at public transit points including bus stands, railway stations, hotels, and guesthouses, urging citizens to assist with identification. These concerted efforts eventually yielded results, enabling investigators to determine who the victim was.
Analyzing One Thousand Surveillance Cameras
Unraveling the conspiracy required extensive technical surveillance and fieldwork. Investigators reviewed footage from approximately one thousand CCTV cameras installed along routes originating from the crime scene, temple perimeters, main roads, toll plazas, and lodging facilities. Operating around the clock, police personnel covered nearly seven hundred kilometers during their investigation. Simultaneously, the cyber cell analyzed tower dumps and mobile communications data to track the movements and locations of suspects, ultimately guiding authorities directly to the perpetrators.
Motive Linked to Post Marriage Conflict
Subsequent police interrogations revealed that primary accused Gajendra alias Sonu Meena had maintained a long-standing illicit relationship with the victim. However, roughly three months prior to the incident, the accused married another woman. According to investigators, the victim began pressuring him to marry her following his wedding, prompting him to hatch a plan to permanently get rid of her. Gajendra, accompanied by his associate Vivek Meena, brought the victim to Mehandipur Balaji on a motorcycle, where they allegedly murdered her in the isolated hilly pocket and discarded the body in the foliage.
Coordinated Police Operation and Arrests
The successful operation was executed under the guidance of Jaipur Range Inspector General of Police Rahul Prakash and Dausa Superintendent of Police Piyush Dixit. A special team was formed under the supervision of the Additional Superintendent of Police and Manpur DSP, led by Mehandipur Balaji Station House Officer Sachin Kumar Sharma. Both accused individuals, who carried declared bounties of twenty-five thousand rupees each, were successfully apprehended through technical investigation and continuous fieldwork. Officials confirmed that further inquiries are underway to gather additional evidence regarding the crime.
