A shocking incident of alleged human trafficking and forced marriage has come to light in Jaisalmer, originating from the Arwal district of Bihar. According to allegations, a father conspired with his second wife and several acquaintances to sell his minor daughter for two thousand rupees to a man residing in Pokaran. The matter came to light when the minor girl's uncle approached the Pokaran police station to lodge a formal complaint detailing the entire episode. Taking swift cognizance of the matter, the local police launched an immediate operation to locate and rescue the victim.
The Uncle's Complaint at Pokaran Police Station
The complaint filed by the minor's uncle detailed how her father, based in Arwal district, orchestrated the deal alongside his second wife and various acquaintances. The minor was allegedly sold for two lakh rupees to Tikamchand Mali, a resident of Pokaran. Following the transaction, Tikamchand reportedly married the minor and kept her with him. Upon learning of these alarming developments, the uncle rushed to the Pokaran police station to brief the authorities, prompting the police to initiate search operations without any delay.
Police Rescue Minor Within Sixty Minutes
Acting on the information provided, Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shivhare formed a dedicated police team under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Virendra Singh. The police team moved swiftly, raiding the Purohitsar area within roughly 60 minutes of receiving the complaint. During the operation, authorities successfully recovered the minor girl safe and sound. Alongside the rescue, the primary accused, Tikamchand Mali, was apprehended at the spot. Police noted that ensuring the safe recovery of the minor remained the utmost priority of the operation.
Victim Handed Over to Child Welfare Committee
Following her recovery, the minor was presented before the Child Welfare Committee by the police. The girl was subsequently handed over to the care of the committee while authorities continued gathering evidence regarding other angles of the case.

Since the core of the incident traces back to Arwal district in Bihar, the Pokaran police registered a zero FIR. The case file has now been transferred to the Arwal police station for further investigation.
