In a major crackdown against food adulteration, authorities in Gujarat have raided an unauthorized milk manufacturing facility located in Jamnagar. Acting on a specific tip-off, the local police conducted a targeted operation in Haripar village under Kalavad taluka, successfully exposing a hidden racket that was producing and distributing fake dairy products.
Massive Seizures During the Raid
Police launched the operation after receiving reliable intelligence that synthetic milk was being manufactured on a large scale at the clandestine unit in Haripar village. Upon raiding the premises, law enforcement officials recovered staggering quantities of dairy goods. The haul included more than 7,000 litres of milk, 120 litres of vegetable ghee, and 15 kilograms of milk powder. Notably, officers reported that no harmful chemicals or washing powders were found at the site during the search.
Lab Testing and Legal Proceedings
Following the raid, the Food Safety Officer team promptly intervened to collect official samples of the seized milk and other food items. These samples have been dispatched to a laboratory for detailed chemical and quality testing. Authorities have successfully identified roughly six individuals connected to the operation. Officials confirmed that formal criminal cases will be registered against the culprits and strict legal actions will follow as soon as the laboratory analysis reports are officially released.
Initial inquiries indicate that the synthetic milk produced at this illegal facility was regularly transported and supplied to various consumers and vendors across Jamnagar city and its surrounding regions.
