According to available details, the Bhil family left their home unexpectedly around 4:00 AM. They proceeded to the railway tracks situated between Dharangaon and Amalner stations, where they jumped in front of an oncoming train. Western Railway officials alerted the Amalner police station about the incident at 4:40 AM. Following the distress call, a police team supervised by Police Inspector Dattatraya Nikam rushed to the location and conducted the official panchnama of the bodies.
The deceased have been identified as Sunil Amrit Bhil, his wife Parvati Bhil, their elder son Sunny, and younger son Raj. Sunny was a student in the second grade, while Raj attended a local Anganwadi. Preliminary local discussions suggest that a domestic dispute might have driven the family to take this extreme step, though Amalner police are exploring all angles to determine the exact official cause. Her husband and brother arrived shortly after, and she was brought safely to the police station. She later shared that ongoing illness and distress over her husband's lack of care had driven her to attempt suicide.
