Delhi Police has cracked the high-profile robbery case involving Rs 44 lakh in the Shastri Nagar area by arresting two accused individuals. The investigation revealed a shocking twist as authorities discovered that the entire conspiracy was orchestrated by the son of the very person who had handed over the cash to the courier. This alarming incident has exposed how close ties and inside information were exploited to execute a meticulously planned crime in the national capital, sending shockwaves through the local business community.
Inside Job: Son Plots Robbery of Cash Handed by Father
According to police records, 52-year-old Jitendra Kumar, a resident of Shastri Nagar, filed a complaint stating that he had collected Rs 44 lakh from Avadhhesh Tiwari and was en route to deliver the money to Rajkumar. As soon as he departed on his motorcycle from E-49 in MS Park, a miscreant abruptly halted his vehicle. Immediately after, a second accomplice snatched his bag containing approximately Rs 44 lakh in cash. Following the brazen heist, both perpetrators fled the scene swiftly.
Heavy Debt Pushed the Mastermind into Crime
An official case under relevant robbery charges was promptly registered, prompting an extensive investigation by local law enforcement. During the probe, police uncovered that the criminal plot was hatched by Prabhay Tiwari, the son of Avadhhesh Tiwari. Authorities stated that Prabhay was burdened under heavy debts and devised the robbery scheme involving the cash sent through his father to clear his financial liabilities.
Two Accused Apprehended by Authorities
Delhi Police successfully apprehended two suspects linked to the case. The first accused has been identified as 26-year-old Prabhay Tiwari, a resident of Shahdara, who engineered the plot. The second suspect is 21-year-old Sarab Tiwari alias Prafull, who hails from Ramganj in Uttar Pradesh. Their arrest marks a major breakthrough in recovering the details of how the crime was executed.
Ongoing Search for Remaining Accomplices and Looted Funds
Law enforcement officials stated that further investigation is actively underway to recover the stolen cash and identify any other individuals involved in the criminal conspiracy. Capital criminals have repeatedly targeted residents, as seen in a recent brazen incident in Delhi's Ashok Vihar area, where miscreants broke into a house and looted Rs 75 lakh. In that case, four attackers forcibly entered a residence, threatened a woman at knifepoint, tied her hands and feet, and fled with the cash. Similarly, a broad daylight dacoity occurred in Delhi's New Usmanpur, where seven to eight armed intruders barged into a house, held occupants hostage, and looted Rs 9 lakh in cash along with valuable jewelry.
