Students at Jiete University in Jodhpur experienced a captivating demonstration of practical science during the five-day orientation program named Aarambh. Well-known content creator and YouTuber Amit Sharma, widely recognized by his channel name Crazy XYZ, took the stage to conduct live chemical experiments. Through his interactive presentation, he demonstrated how scientific concepts become far more engaging and memorable when moved beyond classroom textbooks into practical demonstrations.
Live Demonstration of Igniting Fire with Water
During the stage demonstration, Amit Sharma utilized a precise combination of potassium permanganate, brake oil, and glycerin. Executing the experiment with strict safety measures, he demonstrated a chemical reaction that generated fire through the application of liquid. The visual outcome left the student audience fascinated. Sharma explained to the attendees that witnessing scientific theories firsthand makes understanding complex mechanisms substantially easier. He encouraged the students to maintain a strong sense of curiosity and consistently ask probing questions during their educational journey.
Guidance on Social Media Careers and Passion
Following the experiment, Amit Sharma engaged in an interactive session with the students to discuss content creation and digital media. In response to inquiries about building a career on online platforms, he advised students against pursuing social media solely for monetary gains. Instead, he emphasized the importance of following genuine personal passion. Sharma noted that creators must understand the true interests of their audience rather than treating them merely as numbers. He shared that he adopted digital platforms primarily to share his knowledge and personal experiences, urging students to continuously build new skills alongside their formal academic studies.
Student Yashpal Presents Handmade Portrait
The orientation event also highlighted the artistic skills of the university students. Student Yashpal created a detailed portrait of Amit Sharma over a period of five days and presented it to him on stage. Sharma commended the student's artistic accomplishment and dedication. Throughout the session, students interacted closely with the guest creator, gaining insights into the challenges and milestone experiences of his digital content creation journey.
Cultural Performance featuring Kabir Gayan
The orientation ceremony complemented scientific learning with traditional Indian cultural arts through a session organized by Spic Macay. Padma Shri Kaluram Bamaniya presented a soul-stirring performance of Kabir Gayan. His rendition of classic Kabir hymns set to traditional folk tunes created a serene spiritual and cultural ambience across the auditorium. The combination of scientific experiments, career dialogue, and classical folk music transformed the Aarambh orientation into an enriching experience for all participants.
