While Ranbir Kapoor's mega-budget epic Ramayana is slated for a grand Diwali release, filmmakers have also turned their attention toward stories rooted in profound spiritual devotion. Following the success of Hanuman Ansh, which drew inspiration from the life of Neem Karoli Baba, two new devotional feature films have been officially announced, promising to bring revered figures to the silver screen.
The first major announcement is a devotional feature film titled Haare KaSahara Baba KhatuShyamHamara. Revealed on a Monday, this cinematic project draws direct inspiration from the sacred and widely cherished lore surrounding Shri Khatu Shyam Ji, whose following spans crores of devotees across the nation. The makers intend to capture the essence of how the revered deity guided and inspired countless followers through difficult times.
To bring this grand vision to life, Abundantia Entertainment, headed by Vikram Malhotra, has partnered with Rajnish Khanuja's Select Media Holdings. Producers have also dropped strong hints regarding the timeline, indicating that the film is currently being prepared for a theatrical release in the year 2027. The collaboration highlights a growing corporate interest in backing large-scale spiritual narratives.
In addition to the Khatu Shyam project, another highly anticipated devotional venture titled Tera Sai has secured its release schedule. Producer Shailesh S. Sanghvi and director Palash Muchhal recently visited Shirdi to seek blessings at the sacred shrine before officially announcing that Tera Sai will hit cinema halls on February 5, 2027. The narrative focuses deeply on the life, teachings, and universal message of humanity propagated by Sai Baba.
Tera Sai boasts an impressive ensemble cast, with acclaimed actor Sanjay Mishra essaying the pivotal titular role of Sai Baba. He will be joined by seasoned performers including Sayaji Shinde, Manoj Joshi, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Avika Gaur, and Rohan Mehra in significant supporting characters. This stellar lineup aims to bring depth and emotional resonance to the biographical drama.
A major boost for Tera Sai comes from its distribution partnership with Cinepolis India, which previously played a key role in the box office triumph of Hanuman Ansh.
