Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn traveled to Nashik in Maharashtra during the holy month of Shravan to visit the renowned Trimbakeshwar Temple. He offered prayers and sought blessings from Lord Trimbakeshwar through proper Vedic rituals, accompanied by his son to the shrine. Upon his arrival, office-bearers and trustees of the Trimbakeshwar Temple Trust welcomed the actor. Reports indicate that Ajay Devgn visited the Trimbakeshwar Temple after a gap of roughly 20 years.
As soon as devotees and local residents learned about the actor's arrival, a large crowd gathered around the temple premises. Temple trust officials briefed Ajay Devgn on the history, religious significance, and various traditional facts associated with the sacred site. During this auspicious period of Shravan, the actor performed rituals and prayed for peace and prosperity while seeking divine grace.
The Controversy Surrounding the Vimal Cardamom Ad
Ajay Devgn's temple visit coincides with a period where his name is embroiled in a controversy stemming from a commercial for Vimal cardamom. The advertisement features Ajay Devgn alongside fellow actors Shah Rukh Khan and Tiger Shroff tossing saffron at one another. Although the commercial ostensibly promotes Vimal cardamom, the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has questioned whether it serves as a surrogate promotion for the Vimal pan masala brand.
Facing Regulatory Scrutiny and Notices
Because of this ongoing dispute, Ajay Devgn has come under regulatory investigation, with the Maharashtra Food Safety Department issuing a notice to him over the alleged surrogate advertising. This development holds significant weight given that the state of Maharashtra maintains a strict ban on pan masala containing tobacco or nicotine.
