Before the postponement, the theatrical arrival was locked for July 31, 2026. Back in July, Sandeep Kishan took to social media to inform his followers that he had completed the dubbing for his portions in the feature. At that time, he stated that the release would happen on July 31, though the studio ultimately opted to revise the calendar later.
Principal Photography Wrapped in December
The shooting for Sigma was officially completed in December of last year. Lyca Productions shared the wrap-up announcement online along with behind-the-scenes moments, capturing the entire cast and crew celebrating the conclusion of the principal photography.
Director Jason Sanjay Makes His Debut
A major reason for the massive buzz surrounding Sigma is its director, Jason Sanjay. This venture marks his directorial debut. He is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and prominent actor Vijay, which has kept public and media attention fixed on his maiden project since day one.

Actress Catherine Tresa will also be seen in the movie, reportedly featuring alongside Sandeep Kishan in a special dance number. Sigma was shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, with filming locations including Chennai and Salem.
