Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan recently shared his candid thoughts on dealing with online criticism and trolling. During an episode of the television reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati, the veteran actor discussed how difficult it still is for people of his generation to handle internet negativity. When a contestant on the show asked him directly how he manages criticism on social media since younger people struggle to cope with it, the superstar opened up about his personal experiences.
Contestant Vinamra asked the actor how he handles criticism online, noting that people from his age group simply do not know how to deal with negative feedback. Responding to this, Amitabh Bachchan admitted that he faces harsh remarks concerning his age and other matters. He explained that initially, he thought social media was a wonderful platform to express his heartfelt thoughts directly, but his perspective shifted once he began reading what people actually posted in the comments sections.
The actor revealed the kind of offensive language users direct at him, mentioning comments that mock his age and question his stature, such as asking what he thinks of himself at this age. Reading such bizarre and disrespectful vocabulary felt very strange to him, which ultimately prompted him to stop writing as frequently as before.
Adding a lighthearted twist to the conversation, the actor left everyone in the studio laughing out loud. He quipped that an interesting irony is at play since he reduced his online writing, noting that his followers have actually been growing at an even faster rate ever since.
It is worth noting that Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 84th birthday on October 11. On this occasion, a massive crowd of fans gathered outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa. The legendary actor stepped out of his house to greet the gathering with folded hands. Bachchan originally started writing his personal blog back in the year 2008 and has remained active across various digital platforms ever since.
