Mukesh Rishi: Elections Were Necessary, New Team Must Deliver
Veteran actor Mukesh Rishi said the polls became unavoidable because most position-holders had stepped down. He explained that those wishing to contest got a fresh opportunity, and he had come specifically to participate in that voting. Rishi wished all his colleagues well and expressed confidence that results would be known by evening. He congratulated the eventual winners in advance and urged them to work for the betterment of CINTAA. Rishi added that one should leave a place where the mind does not feel at ease — a step he himself had taken. On the subject of Padmini and Poonam, he declined to speculate, saying only they know their own intentions.
Kunika Sadanand Demands Security, Equality for Artists
Actor Kunika Sadanand welcomed the restart of the electoral process. She hoped the newly elected committee would function effectively and highlighted three core demands: guaranteed security of work and payments for artists, safety for women in the industry, and equal opportunity for every artist. She stressed that these fundamental issues should top the new committee's agenda.
Bindu Dara Singh Seeks Open, Transparent Functioning
Bindu Dara Singh recalled that CINTAA's term was originally two years but had been extended to three. While acknowledging that the committee had performed well during that period, he pointed out that infighting had escalated sharply. Factionalism had taken root, leading to constant clashes that soured the atmosphere and made members reluctant to engage. He appealed to the winners to make CINTAA's operations fully transparent so that every member can see what is happening inside the organisation.
