A detailed inquiry into the recent shooting incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff's vehicle in Mumbai has exposed an active coordination network between the assailants and their remote handlers. During the initial hours following the attack, the armed suspects were receiving continuous operational updates as security personnel launched a massive manhunt. Throughout the pursuit, communication channels remained open via specialized messaging platforms and phone calls, ensuring the shooters were kept informed of law enforcement movements in near real time.
Television News Monitoring and Immediate Evacuation Warnings
The situation escalated when visuals from the crime scene, along with footage captured by vloggers, began surfacing across television news channels, visibly exposing the faces of the assailants. Upon seeing these media broadcasts, the remote handler immediately alerted the shooters that their identities were compromised. Rehan Ansari, one of the primary suspects, received direct communication warning him that their appearances were being aired publicly and that authorities were rapidly closing in on their coordinates. Investigators noted that a dedicated individual appeared to be tracking television broadcasts continuously to relay warning signals to the execution team.
Probing the Remote Handlers and Foreign Links
Detectives are actively working to establish the identity of the specific individual who monitored the broadcast news feeds and fed logistical updates to the shooters. Preliminary findings suggest that digital directives sent over communication applications to Rehan may be tied to Anil Pandit, who is located in the United States, or suspects Ankit Khatak and Sameer Khatri, both of whom were recently apprehended in Sonipat. While the direct link regarding who was watching television broadcasts remains under verification, authorities have already recovered various videos, photographs, and chat logs from the confiscated devices of the suspects.
Switching Modes of Transport to Evade Electronic Surveillance
The investigation demonstrated a calculated effort by the suspects to change their modes of travel whenever they received alerts regarding police deployment. Following the gun attack on Tiger Shroff's vehicle on October 18, the trio initially fled the immediate vicinity using a motorcycle. To throw trackers off their trail, they subsequently altered their transit methods, switching between trains and private cabs to navigate across multiple locations. To further complicate digital tracing, the accused intentionally avoided regular cellular calling, relying instead on encrypted internet-based calling services that are significantly harder to intercept.
A Single Regular Phone Call to a Cab Driver Cracked the Case
Despite their careful avoidance of standard cellular networks, the assailants made a critical error by placing a standard voice call to a local cab driver. That single communication on the regular cellular grid gave law enforcement the breakthrough they needed, allowing investigators to map their travel itinerary. Acting on actionable intelligence, police intercepted and arrested the trio aboard a train passing through Kota, Rajasthan. The arrested shooters have been identified as 18-year-old Phool Singh, 18-year-old Rehan Rahisuddin Ansari, and 22-year-old Hritik Mahto, all of whom have been remanded to police custody until October 31. Overall, authorities have detained 10 individuals in connection with the case.
Actor Left Deeply Shaken as Formal Statement Awaits
Following the frightening episode, Tiger Shroff was left visibly disturbed and shaken. During preliminary interactions with senior police personnel shortly after the incident, the actor expressed absolute shock, conveying that he had never envisioned his vehicle being targeted in such a brazen attack. Shroff also stated that he holds no personal enmity or rivalry with anyone, leaving him baffled as to who the attackers were or what prompted the aggression. Due to his emotional distress, the Crime Branch deferred recording his detailed formal statement, which officers confirmed will be officially taken in the coming days.
