The recent shooting incident targeting Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff's car has sent shockwaves across both the film industry and the general public. The alarming event unfolded on the night of October 18, a Sunday, when three unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds at the vehicle, creating widespread panic in the area. Notably, television actor and Bigg Boss 18 winner Karanveer Mehra was traveling in a car immediately behind Tiger's vehicle when the attack occurred.
Blood Stains and Chaos at the Scene
Roughly an hour after the assault, Karanveer Mehra spoke to the media to recount the horrifying sequence of events that left him in deep shock. He stated that his car was positioned right behind Tiger's vehicle, and upon exiting the gate and arriving at the spot, he noticed blood stains on the ground. It was then that he learned Tiger's driver had been struck by a bullet.
While expressing immense relief that Tiger remained safe, Karanveer voiced deep concern over the driver's critical condition, hoping for a swift recovery. The actor added that several children were present at the venue celebrating a birthday party. The sudden sound of gunfire triggered intense chaos, sending people scrambling in all directions to save their lives.
Mistaken for Firecrackers Initially
Karanveer shared that he plays football with Tiger Shroff in Mumbai's Juhu area and has known him for a long time. However, he did not catch a glimpse of the attackers during the shooting. According to him, a large crowd was gathered nearby taking photos when sharp popping sounds rang out, accompanied by cries that someone was shooting.
Since firecrackers were also being burst nearby, people initially assumed the noises were celebratory fireworks. It was only when unmistakable gunshots echoed and panic gripped the crowd that the security personnel realized the gravity of the situation and promptly alerted the police.
Deeply Shaken by the Incident
The harrowing episode has profoundly affected Karanveer. Describing Tiger as a wonderful person who focuses entirely on his work and treats everyone respectfully, he admitted that witnessing someone he and his family know well go through such trauma was deeply painful and stressful.
Driver Injured and Ongoing Police Investigation
According to reports, the bike-borne assailants fired three to four rounds at Tiger Shroff's car. Mumbai Police confirmed that the driver, Firdous, sustained an injury to his left arm and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Initial ballistic findings suggest the shots were fired from close range. Multiple police teams have been deployed to crack the case, and officers are actively scanning surrounding CCTV footage to identify the culprits as the investigation continues.
