Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is gearing up to return to the big screen with one of his most celebrated characters. The third installment of the blockbuster franchise has been officially titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, clearly indicating that the tense narrative surrounding Vijay Salgaonkar and his family is heading toward its ultimate destination. Promotional posters for the film have already been released, featuring Devgn alongside the tagline stating that his family is his only truth and right. This powerful statement reiterates that protecting his loved ones remains his absolute priority above all else.
The Return of Vijay Salgaonkar and Familiar Faces
Ajay Devgn reprises his role as an ordinary cable operator who relies on quick thinking and lessons learned from cinema to shield his family during moments of extreme crisis. The heavy consequences of the choices he made in the previous chapters continue to weigh on him. Fans will be pleased to see several key cast members returning alongside the lead, including Tabu stepping back into her role as Meera Deshmukh. Shriya Saran will reprise her part as Nandini Salgaonkar, while Rajat Kapoor returns as Mahesh Deshmukh, rounding out the core ensemble.
Major Additions to the Cast
The upcoming feature introduces significant new talent to the narrative, most notably Jaideep Ahlawat. Following the departure of Akshaye Khanna from the project, Ahlawat stepped into the role of the investigating police officer who will lock horns with the protagonist. Furthermore, Prakash Raj has also joined the ensemble cast, although details regarding his specific character remain under wraps. The plot of Drishyam: The Conclusion picks up directly after the events of the second film, where Vijay successfully maneuvered his way out of a conviction using meticulous planning, though the looming threat to the Salgaonkar household is far from over.
Behind the Scenes and Release Date
Abhishek Pathak, who helmed the second chapter, returns to direct this crucial third installment. The screenplay is penned collaboratively by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan, and Pervez Sheikh.
