Acclaimed actor Kranti Prakash Jha recently opened up about the grueling days of his early career, sharing insights into the hardships that shaped his journey in the entertainment industry. He believes that facing rejections and hearing no is an inevitable part of an actor's life, and instead of fearing failure, one must learn from every setback to build resilience.
The Grind of Mumbai Local Trains and Auditions
Recalling his early days in Mumbai, Kranti Prakash Jha detailed the physical effort required just to attend auditions. In his quest for work, he would take a crowded local train from Goregaon to Mahalaxmi. The rush inside the compartments was often so intense that his clothes would get completely rumpled during the commute.
To tackle this, he made it a habit to carry three pairs of clothes with him at all times. Upon reaching the famous studio, he would change, freshen up, and prepare himself before stepping into the audition room. He emphasized that accepting rejection as a natural part of the journey and using it as a stepping stone is the ultimate key to survival in the industry.
The Post-MS Dhoni Dry Spell
Even after gaining recognition for his notable work in the film ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, things did not change overnight for the actor. He revealed that despite being part of such a well-received project, he remained without any work for nearly two years following its release.
People on the streets had started recognizing him, yet producers and casting directors were not offering him roles. During those frustrating months, he often wondered why work was scarce and financial troubles persisted. Despite the uncertainty, he never let success inflate his ego and remained firmly grounded, attributing his humility to the core values instilled by his parents.
From Rejection to OTT Stardom
Refusing to surrender to circumstances, he kept his faith intact and continued striving forward through continuous hard work. Today, following the immense success of ‘Raktanchal 3’, Kranti Prakash Jha stands firmly among the prominent names in the OTT space. His transformation from battling severe financial distress and prolonged waiting periods to portraying powerful characters like Vijay Singh proves that dedication, patience, and humility ultimately lead the way to success.
