Tensions reached a boiling point inside the competitive arena of Rise and Fall Season 2 as tactical disputes evolved into harsh personal confrontations. A high-stakes power struggle triggered an intense exchange of words between television actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and former BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla, sending shockwaves through the rest of the contestants.
How the Elimination Triggered the Conflict
The friction surfaced during a decisive clash for the title of Ultimate Ruler, where Priyanka was contending alongside Tej Pratap Yadav and Irina Rudakova. Once Priyanka fell out of contention, fellow housemate Gautam Gulati questioned her loyalty within the house. Seizing upon that criticism, Shehzad repeatedly echoed Gautam's remarks to mock Priyanka, refusing to let the matter rest.
Personal Slurs Intensify the Row
As the debate escalated, Priyanka hit back by labeling Shehzad's conduct immature. Agitated by the jab, Shehzad escalated the argument by accusing her of being a gold digger. While Priyanka initially attempted to brush off the taunt with laughter, the emotional toll surfaced the following day. In a heart-to-heart conversation with Swara Bhasker, an overwhelmed Priyanka admitted that the insult had left her deeply distressed, keeping her awake and in tears all night.
An Emotional Retaliation and Harsh Warning
Defending her integrity, Priyanka explained that she shoulders the financial responsibilities of her household, making such accusations especially hurtful. She remarked on how convenient it has become to malign a woman's character by slapping unfair labels onto her. Rebuffing Shehzad, she issued a stern warning:
"I will strike the slap here, and the applause will echo outside."She emphasized that the confrontation had severely disrupted her peace of mind.
Allegations of Victimhood and Lingering History
Unwilling to step back, Shehzad claimed that Priyanka was deliberately playing the victim card to manipulate public sympathy and attract limelight. In counterattack, Priyanka referenced his past controversies and pointed out his argumentative track record. This dispute was not an isolated incident; although the duo began the journey on cordial terms, their bond deteriorated earlier when Priyanka took strong exception to comments Shehzad had made regarding Siwet Tomar.
