The film maintained double-digit daily earnings throughout its first seven days, comfortably surpassing the Rs 300 crore milestone in India. On the other hand, Thalapathy Vijay's final feature film, Jana Nayakan, experienced a gradual moderation in its commercial momentum as it navigated its second week in cinemas.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Completes 7-Day Indian Box Office Run
The Tom Holland starrer Spider-Man: Brand New Day gathered a cumulative net collection of Rs 318 crore at the Indian box office during its opening week. The superhero movie opened with Rs 60.60 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 49.35 crore on day two and Rs 70.25 crore on day three. It recorded its highest single-day collection on day four, generating Rs 77.75 crore.
As the film entered the weekdays, daily receipts naturally moderated. It netted Rs 23.80 crore on day five and Rs 21.50 crore on day six. On its seventh day (Wednesday), the film recorded a net collection of approximately Rs 15.20 crore across 16,725 shows in India, with gross figures reaching Rs 18.17 crore. Wednesday's net earnings reflected a 29.3 percent contraction compared to Tuesday's Rs 21.50 crore, marking its largest single-day drop of the week. Despite this dip, the Hollywood title maintains a strong trajectory relative to past international releases in the country.
Jana Nayakan Day 14 Box Office Performance
Thalapathy Vijay's action drama Jana Nayakan collected approximately Rs 1.80 crore net on its second Wednesday (Day 14). This represents a 14.3 percent drop from Tuesday's net collection of Rs 2.10 crore. Following this collection, the film's total net tally in India stands at Rs 183.35 crore.
The film was screened across 3,980 shows nationwide on Wednesday. Its total all-India gross collection has now risen to Rs 213.81 crore. Despite the daily drop in earnings, the project retains a consistent presence across Indian theatrical circuits after two weeks of release.
Language Breakdown and Global Earnings Summary
A breakdown of Jana Nayakan's Rs 1.80 crore domestic net collection on Wednesday shows that the original Tamil version contributed Rs 1.60 crore. The Hindi dubbed version generated Rs 18 lakh, while the Telugu version accounted for around Rs 2 lakh.
In overseas markets, Jana Nayakan gathered approximately Rs 50 lakh on day 14, bringing its cumulative international gross collection to Rs 92.50 crore. Combining the domestic gross of Rs 213.81 crore with the overseas gross of Rs 92.50 crore brings Jana Nayakan's total worldwide gross collection to Rs 306.31 crore.
