Film producer Amit Jani has expressed grave concerns over an alleged attack attempt on National Highway 352-A in Sonipat district of Haryana. While returning from a pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi, unidentified armed individuals travelling in a white car reportedly pursued his vehicle and brandished weapons in an effort to force him to stop. To escape the imminent danger, the filmmaker drove directly to a nearby police station to seek immediate intervention.
Night Chase on the National Highway
The incident took place around 9 PM on the night of 18 October as Amit Jani was travelling along National Highway 352-A. As his vehicle reached the stretch opposite Devru village, a suspicious white car began following them closely. The occupants of the trailing vehicle flashed firearms and attempted to halt his car. Sensing the threat, the driver avoided stopping and instead sped away to keep the occupants safe.
Amit Jani, who originally hails from Uttar Pradesh, was accompanied in the vehicle by film director Bharat Singh Shrinet and several others. Amid the tense pursuit, Jani immediately dialed the emergency helpline 112 to notify the police control room about the unfolding situation. He then drove straight to Kundli police station to evade the pursuers and ensure everyone remained unharmed.
Prior Threats from Gangster Networks
The episode raises serious security concerns because Amit Jani has already been provided Y-category protection by the Government of India. He has previously received life threats from criminal networks associated with gangsters Himanshu Bhau, Rohit Godara, and Goldy Brar. Despite having a designated government security detail, the brazen attempt by armed miscreants to intercept him on a major highway has triggered alarm.
This development comes against the backdrop of an earlier firing incident linked to Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. Immediately after the highway scare, Amit Jani posted on the social media platform X, tagging senior Haryana police officials and requesting an urgent investigation into the matter.
Police Launch Detailed Investigation
Amit Jani is known for producing the film Udaipur Files, and he is presently working on his upcoming projects titled Kala Hiran and Kalki Sambhal. Following the confrontation on the highway, he initially approached Kundli police station and later submitted a formal written complaint at the Murthal police station.
Officials at Murthal police station have registered the complaint and initiated a comprehensive probe. Investigators are scanning surveillance camera recordings along the highway route to trace the white vehicle and identify the unknown individuals involved in the chase.
