The gym owner, who was driving a high-speed car that rammed into a female motorcyclist on the city's prominent Golf Course Road, was taken into custody alongside his relative. The shocking episode has sparked widespread concerns regarding reckless driving, road harassment, and the safety of women and two-wheeler riders on urban thoroughfares.
Arrest of Kalyan Bainsla and Accomplice
Main accused Kalyan Bainsla was tracked down by special police teams following a intensive search operation. Police confirmed that his associate was captured from Rajgarh in Rajasthan, located a short distance away from Gurugram. At the time of the collision on Sunday, Bainsla was accompanied by relatives inside the vehicle. The arrested accomplice has been identified as Lovnish, a 34-year-old resident of New Colony in Palwal. On Tuesday, she formally joined the police investigation and recorded her detailed statement. According to her legal counsel Sanjay Chauhan, the victim described the sequence of events before a magistrate exactly as they transpired, emphasizing the gravity of the attack.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Sandeep Kumar stated that the victim's formal complaint revealed prior verbal abuse and stalking by the driver before the crash. Under the directives of Gurugram Police Commissioner Sibas Kabiraj, investigators analyzed viral Instagram footage and CCTV recordings, leading to the addition of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 109 for attempted murder, 78 for stalking, and 79 for acts intended to insult the modesty of a woman.
