Law enforcement authorities have intensified their efforts to apprehend Kalyan Bainsla, the primary accused in the shocking hit-and-run incident that rattled Gurugram. To ensure a swift capture, the police have deployed five dedicated teams conducting continuous raids across various potential hideouts of the fugitive. More than 48 hours have elapsed since the incident occurred, yet the accused remains untraceable. Investigators are meticulously scanning closed-circuit television footage installed along Golf Course Road and its adjoining perimeters to verify every factual detail related to the collision and track down the suspect.
Upon reaching the native village of Tikri to investigate Kalyan Bainsla's residence, reporters found the premises tightly guarded, with strict restrictions preventing anyone from entering the house. Meanwhile, neighbors and family members came forward to downplay the severity of the incident. Jitendra, a relative representing the family, stated that they had watched Kalyan grow up and described the household as well-behaved. He claimed that the viral video proves the collision was entirely unintentional and that Kalyan had merely approached to advise someone to drive within their proper lane. According to him, Kalyan was accompanied by his maternal aunt's son at the time, and panic likely set in immediately after the accidental impact, causing him to flee the scene. The family strongly maintained that Kalyan possessed no bad habits and was not under the influence of alcohol while driving.
At present, only Kalyan Bainsla's grandmother is residing at the house, and she expressed bewilderment over the massive uproar, questioning what massive crime he had supposedly committed. She mentioned that he visits home sporadically, sometimes fortnightly or monthly, but the continuous influx of police and outsiders has caused distress. Describing herself merely as a neighbor unaware of the intricate details, she requested that they not be harassed. Conversely, Roshan, the father of the victimized bike rider Sia, detailed the formal steps taken by their family, confirming that a written complaint had been submitted, a formal case registered, and discussions held with local administrative authorities.
Elaborating further, Sia's father stated that police officials were scheduled to record statements in Delhi. He argued that given the apparent manner in which the vehicle attempted to ram into his daughter, stringent charges including hit-and-run and attempted murder ought to be invoked, pointing out the aggressive trailing visible in the circulating video footage. He noted that his daughter has been riding motorcycles since her college days without any prior mishaps and actively engages in social work. Overwhelmed by shock and panic following the incident, she initially kept the matter secret from her family, a realization that left her father deeply infuriated upon discovering it.
