A government school teacher from Haryana's Karnal district has gone missing under mysterious circumstances, and his abandoned car has turned up in the Sector-9 area with two mobile phones and a note inside. Police swung into action as soon as the report came in and have formed special teams to trace the teacher.
Who is the missing teacher
The missing teacher has been identified as Pradeep, a resident of the Gharaunda area who teaches at a government school in Kohand. His sudden disappearance has left his family, the education department and local administration worried. He is said to have been on SIR duty as a Booth Level Officer, or BLO, and had reportedly been under mental strain because of it for some time. Police, however, have not independently confirmed this claim yet and are examining every angle of the case.
Two phones and a letter found inside the car
Police received information through their Emergency Response Vehicle, or ERV, team that a car had been parked in a suspicious condition for a long time near the Convent School in Sector-9. When officers reached the spot, they found the car locked. A search of the vehicle turned up two mobile phones and a letter, after which police took the car into custody and began further proceedings.
A WhatsApp message to a colleague
According to the information available, Pradeep had sent a message to a fellow teacher on WhatsApp before he went missing. Realising how serious it was, the colleague immediately alerted the police. A similar letter was later found during the search of the car as well. Police are now closely examining this letter and shaping their next steps based on it.
Family alleges administrative pressure
Pradeep's family says he had gone to school as usual in the morning but left suddenly sometime later. They allege he had been troubled by administrative pressure. According to the family, they have been searching for him everywhere since the morning but have found no trace of him so far. His family includes his wife and daughter, who are in constant touch with the police and hoping for his safe return.
Police say full picture will emerge once he is found
Sandeep Kumar, in charge of the Sector-9 police post, said the missing teacher has been identified as Pradeep. Police have informed his family and are scanning CCTV footage from surrounding areas while also searching his possible locations. According to police, the actual sequence of events will become clear only once the teacher is traced.
