A shocking tragedy unfolded in Faridabad, Haryana, near the Delhi-NCR region, where a senior IT executive was shot dead following an escalating neighborhood dispute over parking space. The brutal incident took place in Sector-21C of Faridabad on the night of Dhanteras, claiming the life of Paramjeet Dhankhar, who served as the Asia Head for Tech Mahindra. The victim was gunned down by a resident living on the third floor of the very same building.
Heated Argument Erupted After Gym Return Over Vehicle Movement
According to details, the deceased Paramjeet Dhankhar resided on the ground floor, while the accused, Monu Sharma, lived on the third floor of the building. Both families had a history of bitter disputes and disagreements regarding pet management, specifically walking dogs for elimination, and vehicle parking arrangements. Prior complaints regarding these mutual tensions had already been lodged at local police stations. On the fateful night, when Paramjeet returned home after working out at the gym, he asked Monu to move his vehicle, which triggered a fierce verbal altercation between them.
Accused Opened Fire With Licensed Pistol Releasing Around 15 Rounds
As the argument escalated out of control, the accused Monu Sharma retrieved his licensed pistol and opened indiscriminate fire on Paramjeet. The assailant pumped approximately 15 rounds of bullets toward the victim, out of which seven bullets struck Paramjeet directly. Sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, he collapsed and succumbed to his fatal injuries instantly at the scene. The relentless gunfire created absolute terror throughout the residential building and the surrounding neighborhood.
Travelled From Singapore to India for Family Wedding Celebrations
It was revealed that Paramjeet Dhankhar lived with his family in Singapore and had arrived in India just a day prior on November 5 to attend his nephew's wedding scheduled for November 24. Following the shooting, the victim's son, Shaurya, promptly alerted the authorities. Upon receiving the emergency alert, local police units and Crime Branch teams rushed to the crime scene, recovered spent cartridge casings, and initiated a comprehensive forensic examination.
Accused Flees With Family While Police Launch Manhunt
After executing the fatal assault, the accused Monu Sharma managed to escape from the location along with his entire family. Law enforcement authorities have registered an official criminal case against Monu and deployed multiple teams to trace and apprehend him. Meanwhile, police transported Paramjeet's mortal remains to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination as investigations into the horrific parking murder continue.
