A horrifying and deadly road accident unfolded on Nuh Road in Haryana's Nuh district on Wednesday late evening when a speeding car lost control and went on a rampage. The vehicle collided with multiple automobiles before hitting pedestrians outside a tile showroom near the Chharoda village bus stand. The crash claimed the life of a 37-year-old man who had visited the shop to buy construction materials, while three other individuals sustained serious injuries. Several vehicles parked along the road and inside the showroom premises were heavily damaged. The terrifying sequence of events was captured in its entirety on a CCTV camera installed at the showroom.
Chain Collision at Chharoda Bus Stand
According to local accounts and preliminary investigation details, the high-speed car suffered a complete loss of control while navigating Nuh Road near the Chharoda bus stand. Moving at an excessive speed, the vehicle first rammed into a pickup truck travelling along the road, then struck a motorcycle, and slammed into another car. Despite colliding with three vehicles in quick succession, the car failed to stop and ploughed directly into a bystander standing on the roadside. The impact was so severe that the victim was launched nearly 10 feet into the air and landed approximately 40 feet away on the pavement. The out-of-control vehicle finally crashed inside the outdoor compound of a nearby tile showroom, damaging several parked vehicles before grinding to a halt.
Victim Was Purchasing Tiles with His Brother-in-Law
The deceased victim has been identified as 37-year-old Kapil, son of Mahendra and a resident of Bahrampur. On Wednesday evening, Kapil had travelled to the tile showroom in Chharoda alongside his brother-in-law Pradeep. The duo had arrived to select and purchase tiles for an under-construction house located in Sector-59, Gurugram. Kapil was waiting outside the showroom premises when the speeding car suddenly veered towards him, leaving him with no time to react. The sudden catastrophe created widespread panic and confusion at the scene, drawing a large crowd of local residents and passersby.
Tragic Loss for a Laborer's Family
With the assistance of local bystanders, police personnel rushed Kapil and the three other injured individuals to Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College in Nalhar for emergency medical care. Despite doctors' efforts to stabilize him during treatment, Kapil succumbed to his grave injuries and was pronounced dead. The remaining three injured victims continue to receive medical treatment at the facility. Kapil earned his livelihood as a manual laborer and was the sole financial provider for his household. He is survived by his wife and three young children. His sudden demise has plunged his entire family into deep grief and financial hardship.
Police Investigation and CCTV Analysis
Upon receiving news of the crash, Sadar Tauru Police Station Incharge (SHO) Rajesh Kumar dispatched a team to the scene. The police officers secured the area, facilitated the emergency transport of all injured victims to the hospital, and cleared the wrecked vehicles to restore regular traffic flow along Nuh Road. Investigators also conducted a thorough site inspection and seized the CCTV footage from the tile showroom. The viral CCTV clip shows the speeding car colliding with vehicles before crashing headlong into the showroom grounds. SHO Rajesh Kumar confirmed that the driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was given primary medical treatment. Police have impounded the vehicle involved in the crash and initiated a formal inquiry. Preliminary findings indicate that reckless speeding and loss of vehicle control were the primary causes of the fatal collision. Police are finalizing the post-mortem formalities to hand over Kapil's body to his grieving family.
